Sackboy is back with his unique, handcrafted style, and this time he's brought friends. He's made his way to a planet called Bunkum, where players must explore the Imagisphere and work together to defeat the evil Newton!
One of the things that many fans of previous LittleBigPlanet games will appreciate is the way the jumping mechanics have been tweaked. There's still a little floatiness in how Sackboy moves, but by and large he's far more precise and controllable. The upshot is more accurate platforming action, which is reflected in some of the tighter level design. All in all, that makes for a more direct, tangible feel to the game's core platforming.
Fans of the series will also be rewarded by a nifty new feature. If you've played before, you can sign into your PSN account to download all the DLC you've bought for previous games, so you'll be able to make Sackboy appear just as you like him. Likewise, you get access to all the content you've previously crafted yourself, meaning that right from the off there are millions of levels to try!
New to the series are three new characters, Oddsock, Swoop and Toggle, each with their own special abilities. Oddsock can bounce off walls, Toggle can grow or shrink and Swoop can take to the sky and carry things. Sackboy can also carry new power-ups like the pumpinator, so you get a real mix of abilities to play with - something you'll need if you want to tackle the brain-busting range of challenges developer Sumo Digital has laid out for you.
This all comes with a host of new 'Create' tools, meaning that as well as the millions of levels already created, players will be able to craft plenty of cool new stuff to entertain themselves and other fans!
